Christina Kerkvliet Goddard was born in Seymour, Victoria, Australia (1965).
In 1996 she graduated from the South Australian School of Art, University of South Australia where she received The John Christie Wright Memorial Prize in painting.
She is established as an artist whose concerns are with discourses in motherhood, nature, and the domestic realm – after all, she is a mother of three grown daughters and keen supporter of natural schooling and project-based learning.
Her work in Regional Victoria received grants for Family Tincture,1998 and Materfamilias, 2000 , the former exhibited in a 'husband and wife' two-person show at The Bendigo Art Gallery.
In July 2005 she exhibited 'Lace Kitchen' at Nexus Multicultural Art Centre, Adelaide as part of the SALA Festival.
Christina is also a musician and short story writer whose wit and satire permeates her art. These creative pursuits support the way she visually communicates meaning of the world.
